Press Brake Operator

A TRUMPF press brake operator sets up, programs, and runs high-precision CNC bending machines to form metal parts. Key tasks include reading blueprints, installing tooling, running simulation software, and utilizing safety features like BendGuard. Operators often manage 2D/3D parts, requiring strong technical skills. Responsibilities Setup & Operation: Configuring hydraulic or servo-electric press brakes to bend steel, aluminum, or copper according to blueprints. Programming: Using TRUMPF control systems to manage bending angles, back gauge positions, and tool selection. Material Handling: Handling, positioning, and bending sheets, often assisted by bending aids for parts up to 660 lbs. Quality Control: Ensuring precision bends, troubleshooting issues, and inspecting finished parts. Maintenance: Performing daily maintenance on machinery. Qualifications Typically requires a high school diploma/GED, previous fabrication experience, and proficiency with CNC machinery.
