Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night-shift community hospital role requiring Epic EMR experience and at least one year of RT experience.

Job Details

• Community hospital setting within the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit,
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM,
• 13-week assignment length,
• Cares for adult critical care, emergency department, and NICU patient populations,
• Performs ventilator management, intubation assist, chest physiotherapy, and arterial blood gas draws/interpretation,
• Manages airway devices including ET tubes, tracheostomies, and nasal/oral suctioning,
• Treats patients with conditions such as ARDS, aspiration, COVID-19, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, and fresh tracheostomy,
• Performs neonatal/pediatric procedures including CPAP/BiPAP support and high-risk delivery assistance,
• Uses Epic EMR for charting, required with no exceptions,
• May float within scope of practice as needed,
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions,

Job Requirements

• Active RRT certification required,
• BLS and ACLS certification required,
• CRT certification required,
• NRP and PALS certifications preferred,
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the applicable position required,
• BSN preferred; diploma, associate, or BSN graduates from an accredited program (ACEN or CCNE) accepted,
• Epic charting experience required,
• Community hospital experience preferred,
• Prior travel assignment experience required,
• Active VA or compact state RT license required if applicable,
• 2 professional references required (supervisor level or above),
