Production Controller

Production ControllerFrequency Electronics, Inc is seeking a Production Controller to support manufacturing operations for both space flight hardware and commercial product lines. This position is responsible for controlling the release, movement, and status of shop orders to ensure hardware progresses through manufacturing in accordance with program schedules and delivery requirements. The role requires daily use of Infor VISUAL ERP (9D), Microsoft Project and advanced Excel tools to track WIP, shortages, and production status in a high-mix, low volume environment.ResponsibilitiesControl and maintain shop orders and travelers in Infor VISUALMonitor WIP and move orders through manufacturing operationsCoordinate hardware movement between departments (assembly, test, environmental screening, inspection, shipping)Track work order status and ensure completion of required operationsIdentify and escalate shortages, bottlenecks, and schedule risksCoordinate priorities with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Material Control, and Program ManagementSupport environmental test scheduling (TVAC, vibration, burn-in, ESS)Ensure required documentation and configuration are correct before hardware moves forwardImplement Engineering Change Orders into active work orders as directedSupport both flight hardware and commercial production requirementsSystems & ReportingDaily use of Infor Visual 9 AD ERP for order status, transactions, and trackingMaintain Project and Excel-based reports for WIP status, shortages, and delivery performanceUse advanced Excel functions (PivotTables, formulas, data analysis tools)Requirements5+ years experience in production control, manufacturing coordination, or shop floor controlAerospace/defense or high-reliability electronics experience preferredStrong understanding of WIP control and manufacturing processesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredInfor VISUAL ERP experience preferredAbility to manage multiple programs and changing prioritiesAdditional RequirementsExperience in low-volume, high reliability hardware production preferredFamiliarity with configuration control and traceability requirementsU.S Person status required due to ITAR restrictionsWork Environment: This position supports both: Space/satellite flight hardware with strict documentation and testing requirements Commercial production with shorter lead times and higher throughputSalary Range $55K-65K per annum based on experience
