Position Reference: 01CLFCY009-RNBH Location: Lyons, New York (Wayne County, 35 miles east of Rochester). On-site at the County's outpatient mental and behavioral health clinic. Employment Type: W-2 hourly, per diem. You set your own availability. Compensation: $52.00 to $58.00 per hour. Time and a half on pre-authorized overtime. Paid weekly. Your file here is your foot in the door to all of it. Key Responsibilities Administer and document oral and injectable psychiatric medications, including long-acting injectables. Monitor vital signs, metabolic screening and side effects, and keep the prescriber informed. Teach patients and families about their medications and treatment plans. Coordinate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists and care managers. Document in the clinic's electronic health record and respond to clinical emergencies per clinic protocol. Required Qualifications Current, unrestricted New York State Registered Professional Nurse license. Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current BLS (CPR). One year of recent RN experience that includes psychiatric, behavioral health or substance use treatment. Able to complete the New York State Department of Health Criminal History Record Check and a drug screen, and current on the clinic's required immunizations. Strongly Preferred Qualifications Two or more years in psychiatric nursing, inpatient or outpatient. Long-acting injectable administration and metabolic monitoring experience. Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing certification (PMH-BC).
