ACCOUNTANT

Accountant

We're seeking a detail-oriented and motivated staff accountant to join our accounting team in Runnemede, NJ. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial results and supporting various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be analytical, organized, and eager to grow into a leadership position.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare and reconcile all bank accounts, ensuring reconciling items are cleared promptly.
• Maintain accurate balance sheet account reconciliations each month.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including write-offs and inventory adjustments.
• Support inventory control by observing cycle counts and assisting in physical inventory processes.
• Maintain utilities allocations between business units.
• Assist accounts payable and accounts receivable teams as needed.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns and year-end 1099s.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in accounting required; bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliation processes, and financial statements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems required; Sage 100 experience preferred.
• Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
