What You'll Do Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity, offering direction and support while helping to follow access control practices and other site-specific protocols. Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and by assisting with de-escalation when appropriate. Minimum Requirements Must meet hospital vaccine requirements. Have at least 6 months of security-related experience. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
