Vaco is seeking an SEC Technical Accountant in Phoenix, AZ

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with the preparation and filing of periodic regulatory reports, including quarterly and annual filings and related disclosures.
• Coordinate efforts related to internal and external audits and ongoing financial reviews.
• Support accounting research and the drafting of technical memos to determine appropriate treatment under GAAP.
• Assist in accounting for investments, intangible assets, debt, equity, derivatives, and stock-based compensation.
• Contribute to acquisition-related activities, including due diligence, valuation support, purchase accounting, integration, and compliance implementation.
• Assist in preparing materials for Board of Directors and investor communications.
• Maintain internal controls and support documentation and evaluation of financial and operational processes for compliance.
• Participate in internal control testing and process improvement efforts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
• Public Accounting (Big 4 Preferred) with SEC Clients (Required)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance experience
• 2-4 years of experience
• CPA License (preferred)
• Ability to go on site 1 day a week
• Salary $90-100k
