Must-Have: Positive attitude with a focus on teamwork for a fast-paced quick-turnover unit. Experience in MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down (PCU) level care. Charge Nurse experience or willingness to consider is appreciated.

Earned Magnet Designation for nursing excellence in November 2020. Serve as the region's referral center for trauma and stroke care. Provide comprehensive services, including open heart and interventional cardiology. The PCU is a Clinical Decision/Direct Admit Unit with a goal of enhancing patient throughput. Unit aims to receive admitted patients, complete assessments, and initiate care orders. We care for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses and require a well-rounded background. Advanced skills and charge nurse experience are appreciated, though minimal bedside procedures are performed. Preferred certifications include BLS and ACLS. Required uniform is navy blue and white, with appropriate jackets as needed. This unit offers opportunities in telemetry and emergency department transport roles. Most of our travel nurses request extensions due to positive experiences with the team. We focus on reducing overall length of stay and enhancing patient experiences.
