Title: Kitting Associate

Location: Covington, GA 30014

Pay: $15.50 per hour

Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday; Overtime may be requested

Employment Type: W2 Temp-to-hire, very high potential for conversion to a FTE based on business needs

Position Summary

This position supports the kitting department of a large medical device manufacturing facility. The role focuses on light production work, primarily working on the production line to fill bags with products that are prepared for shipment to customers. This is a hands-on manufacturing position that requires attention to detail, good vision, reliable attendance, and the ability to work effectively in a close, team-oriented production environment.

Responsibilities

• Work on the production line filling bags with products for shipment to customers
• Sort, inspect, and handle materials, parts, assemblies, and finished or scrap products
• Use basic equipment and tools, including inspection and light equipment and handcarts, to move materials throughout the facility
• Read rulers and accurately inspect materials and products
• Maintain quality records, documentation, and other required production records
• Follow established standard operating procedures, quality guidelines, and documented processes
• Complete routine production tasks according to clearly defined steps and procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
• Work under general to limited supervision while meeting department expectations for quality and productivity
• Follow the department's strict attendance requirements
• Mandatory overtime is required on September 12 and September 26, during the normal 8-hour shift

Qualifications

• At least 1 continuous year of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or quality position
• The required 1 year of experience must have been completed continuously in the same job
• Ability to read a ruler and accurately assess measurements
• Ability to maintain accurate written records and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
• Ability to work in a small, closely spaced production environment where employees may work shoulder-to-shoulder
• Reliable attendance and ability to adhere to a strict attendance policy
• Ability to work the scheduled Monday-Friday shift and required overtime
• Education is not required, but is preferred

Work Environment

The kitting department operates in a limited-space production environment with more than 60 employees working in a relatively small area. Employees should be comfortable working in close proximity to others throughout the shift and maintaining consistent productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
