JOB DESCRIPTION:

Olympic Medical Physicians' Orthopaedic team provides orthopaedic services to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, on Washington State's beautiful North Olympic Peninsula. OMP Orthopaedic team seeks team-oriented Orthopaedic Surgeon to provide services for this Level III Trauma facility. Highlights of the practice include:

--This position is supported by first-call response by orthopaedic PA-C or ARNP.

--Integrated electronic healthcare record system (EPIC) with local and regional hospital systems

--Robust orthopaedic clinic system for patient follow-up

The successful Orthopaedic Physician at OMP is focused on providing excellent person-centered care to rural patients as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

EDUCATION

• Medical degree from an accredited school required.
• Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA approved postgraduate training program in orthopaedic surgery.
• Successful completion of requirements of the ABOS board for certification in orthopaedic surgery.
• Maintains appropriate Continuing Medical Education credits per Washington State and OMC Medical Staff requirements.

EXPERIENCE

• Completion of orthopaedic surgery residency.
• Two or more years of practice in orthopaedic trauma surgery preferred.

LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS

• Board certified or active participant in the examination process leading to certification [specialty] and area of sub-specialty (if any). Recertifies at appropriate intervals per specialty board requirements.
• Maintains an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington.
• Maintains current DEA registration.
• Maintains current BLS certification.
• Maintains appropriate privileges and membership on the OMC Medical Staff.
