Key Responsibilities Operate TIG, MIG, and Oxy Acetylene welding equipment and common shop tools such as grinders, sanders, and hydraulic straightening equipment. Must train Welder I and Welder II. Read and understand engineering drawings and troubleshoot drawing issues. Use measuring equipment (tape measure, framing square, straight edge, calipers, laser level). Use shop measuring equipment, engineering drawings, and cutting equipment to cut stock (tubing, angle iron, channel iron, flat bar, etc.) for complex welded miscellaneous assemblies and frame assemblies. Fabricate all miscellaneous welded assemblies and simple frame assemblies. Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss. Conform to departmental safety requirements. Other Requirements This is a physically demanding position that often requires standing for extended periods, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, color discrimination, and working in a noisy environment. The use of hand and power tools is required. Use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory, including welding helmets, hand shields, goggles, respirators, fire/flame‑resistant clothing and aprons, and gloves. Additional PPE will be required for positions involving work in a clean room environment. Functional Knowledge Has developed proficiency in a range of analytical processes or procedures to carry out assigned tasks. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
