Luxury Design Sales Specialist

Role Description This position is responsible for welcoming trade clients and understanding their project needs, and guiding them through the showroom's product offerings. Daily responsibilities include presenting product features and benefits, preparing quotes and sales orders, processing transactions, and following up on open proposals. The Sales Specialist will maintain an organized, visually appealing showroom, assist with inventory management, and collaborate with the team on merchandising initiatives. The role also involves building and maintaining long-term client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and contributing to client acquisition efforts. Responsibilities may include outside sales, networking within the design and furnishings industry, attending industry events and trade shows, conducting client outreach, and introducing Alexander Sinclair to new interior designers and design firms. The Sales Specialist will also assist with showroom events and professionally represent Alexander Sinclair within the local design community.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build trust and develop long-term relationships with interior designers, architects, builders, and trade professionals.
• Proven customer service and consultative sales experience, with the ability to understand client needs and recommend customized product solutions.
• Demonstrated success in building client relationships, managing sales opportunities, following up consistently, overcoming objections, and closing sales.
• Confident in business development, outside sales, prospecting, client outreach, and generating new business through networking and relationship-building.
• Comfortable representing Alexander Sinclair at industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and other opportunities within the design community.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects, quotes, orders, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Professional, polished, self-motivated, and dependable, with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
• Passion for interior design, luxury furnishings, architecture, or high-end home products. Previous experience in the design industry, luxury retail, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable learning and utilizing CRM software, showroom management systems, Microsoft Office, and other technology platforms to manage client relationships and daily operations.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities with the flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a close-knit team to achieve company goals.
• Bachelor's degree preferred;
  equivalent professionalexperience will also be considered.
• Comfortable working in a small, family-owned business where team members wear multiple hats, take initiative, and contribute to the overall success of the showroom.
