About the Role
Join a close-knit law firm as a Litigation Associate handling general defense litigation, primarily premises liability. This is a growth-oriented role with mentorship and direct collaboration with senior attorneys.
What You'll Do
Manage a full caseload of defense matters from inception through resolution. Conduct and defend depositions. Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences. Work with senior attorneys on trial preparation, case strategy, and client communications. Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and case strategy documents. What We're Looking For
Two to seven years of defense litigation experience at a law firm, including management of a full caseload. Experience appearing before judges, attending court conferences, and navigating New York City and Long Island courts. Deposition experience, including conducting and defending depositions. A J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar. Experience with premises liability or general negligence matters is helpful. A collaborative approach and interest in a mentorship-oriented team. Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $125,000 to $165,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Hybrid role based in New York City, with an in-office onboarding period and flexible hybrid work afterward. The position serves matters in New York City and Long Island.
