WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own the inventory cycle count process — plan it, run it, and reconcile it.
• Ensure the books balance every period and reconcile inventory to the general ledger.
• Travel to company locations twice a year to oversee on-site physical inventory counts.
• Walk the warehouse floor regularly to verify inventory accuracy and partner with operations.
• Build advanced Excel models, pivots, and reporting that turn raw data into decisions.
• Support month-end close, variance analysis, and standard cost reporting.
• Partner with leadership across departments — building trust quickly is the job.
• Identify process improvements that strengthen inventory accuracy and financial controls.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Strong cost accounting background with a sharp eye for inventory and reconciliation.
• Advanced Excel skills — pivots, lookups, complex formulas (the real stuff).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly across teams.
• Comfort getting into warehouses and engaging with operations and floor staff.
• Willingness to travel twice a year for on-site cycle counts.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

PREFERRED

• CPA designation.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, distribution, or warehousing environments.
• Experience with ERP inventory modules and standard costing.
