Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Directing and implementing individualized therapy programs focused on preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and enhancing muscle function based on established care plans.
• Overseeing and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure high standards of therapeutic practices are adhered to during client interactions.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' functional capabilities through the use of diverse diagnostic assessments encompassing muscle, nerve, and joint tests.
• Assessing home environments to propose modifications that enhance clients' independence in their daily activities.
• Administering manual therapy techniques, including exercises, massages, and various treatment modalities, tailored to clients' unique needs.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal client outcomes.
• Documenting clinical findings meticulously, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Actively participating in interdisciplinary team case conferences to discuss treatment strategies and adjustments based on clients' progress.
• Educating clients and their families on therapy programs and device usage to empower them in their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes individuals experiencing orthopedic challenges, post-operative recovery, and those requiring rehabilitation following injury or illness. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A current physical therapy license in good standing within the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
