Radiation Therapist - Boise, ID

Step into a vital role delivering specialized care as a Radiation Therapist within a supportive healthcare environment. This contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule-Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM-with 36-40 hours per week. Enjoy your evenings, weekends, and holidays uninterrupted, as there's no on-call requirement or holiday coverage. The assignment may extend beyond the initial term based on performance and facility needs.


Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification and current registration as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT certified)
• State licensure to practice as a Radiation Therapist (or eligibility for licensure, as required)
• Demonstrated proficiency operating radiation therapy equipment and administering treatment plans
• Strong ability to communicate and provide empathetic patient care
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer accurate, physician-prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients
• Confirm patient identification and prep treatment areas in compliance with safety protocols
• Operate linear accelerators and other radiation equipment according to clinical standards
• Support patients throughout the treatment process, addressing questions or concerns
• Collaborate with oncologists, physicists, and other team members to deliver coordinated care
• Document all procedures and patient interactions in electronic medical records promptly
• Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety and infection control guidelines
