Part-Time Receptionist

Description LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for a friendly and organized individual to join our Madison, AL team as a Part-Time Receptionist . This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors and donors, providing excellent customer service and administrative support. Part-Time Opportunity — Required Availability Candidates must be available to work shifts during the following hours: Tuesday: 8:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Friday: 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Saturday: 7:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Sunday: 7:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist visitors, donors, applicants, vendors, and employees in a professional and welcoming manner Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls and respond to general inquiries Direct visitors to the appropriate department or staff member Collect and accurately enter donor demographic information into applicable systems or logs Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries, and coordinate outgoing mail or packages Maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming reception area Provide general administrative support, including data entry, filing, scanning, copying, and preparing documents Schedule appointments, meetings, or conference rooms as needed Maintain visitor logs, sign-in procedures, badges, and other front-desk security protocols Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, customer service, administrative support, or other public-facing role, preferred Who We Are LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. This is a part-time position. Starting salary range is $15.00 - $16.50 an hour. Criminal background check and drug screen required upon conditional offer of hire.
