Requirement/Must Have:

• 2+ years of experience.
• Proven knowledge of the XX Welding Society welding symbols and codes.
• Knowledge of welding processes GMAW and FCAW at a minimum.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for fabricating and welding filtration equipment, pipe, and various structural equipment.
• Use independent judgment and initiative to complete projects on a timely and safe basis.
• Fabricate filtration equipment, pipe, and various structural equipment from blueprints and work orders.
• Understand and apply AWS welding symbols.
• Select proper wire, shielding gases, and set wire feed speeds and voltage to obtain a balanced arc condition.
• Successful completion of AWS-1G unlimited thickness certification, or ASTM Section 9 certification.
• Operating knowledge of preheat-cutting torch, stud welder, and overhead crane.
• May train other employees on specific procedures regarding products.
• Maintain work area in a neat, orderly, and safe condition.
• Ensure adherence to safety rules and regulations and quality procedures.
• Complete and submit shop work orders, rework, and miscellaneous sheets to update individual utilization reports on a daily basis or as required ensuring hours worked equals hours paid.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Lead your department by example.
• Support and promote all company policy, support Manager of department in company policy and department procedure policy, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
• Seek constructive resolution of drawings, bill of materials, NAR's, routings, and ECN changes.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Computer literate preferred.
