We are seeking experienced electric pallet jack operators to join our team at a brand new warehouse facility in Mickleton, NJ. Must be comfortable loading and unloading trucks by hand during training period (10-12 days).

Shift: 7am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Operate an Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) to pick orders efficiently.
• Utilize RF scanning equipment to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Manage pick ticket orders and pull warehouse items based on specifications.
• Ensure accuracy of orders and stage items correctly for delivery.
• Read and process incoming order requests.
• Adhere to quality and customer service standards.
• Pick, wrap, and stage orders for shipment.
• Inspect and perform maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Identify safety hazards in the workplace and report them.
• Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience (1+ years) in operating powered forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Proficient in mathematics.
• Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations.
• High regard for workplace safety.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without accommodations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift, pallet jack, unloading, loading, order picking, load, sitdown, material handling, electric pallet jack, inventory, picking, palletizing, stacking.
• Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety policies and requirements.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The warehouse, located in Mickleton, NJ, is a brand new distribution center with a focus on spices and coconut water. While no manufacturing occurs here, there is a spice aroma present. The facility is not temperature controlled, so appropriate attire such as steel toe boots and work pants without graphics is required. Please note that sweatshirts, hoods, or strings are not permitted.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mickleton, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
