Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,517–$1,609 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts Start date: 07/06/2026 Setting: hospital environment Schedule: Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday) Responsibilities Provide respiratory care to patients requiring emergency and critical care, therapeutic treatment, invasive and non-invasive monitoring, diagnostic testing, and patient education for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders. Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment; participate in quality assurance and improvement activities. Manage ventilator support, including troubleshooting alarms and adjusting settings per physician orders. Perform routine and advanced assessments, interpret data, and document findings in the patient record. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, timely care, and effective weaning and wean-down of support as appropriate. Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, ventilation equipment, and discharge considerations; ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Requirements Active Michigan license as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT preferred; CRT accepted per submission notes). Minimum 2 years of RRT experience. Certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA); NBRC credentials. Comfortable with ventilators and monitoring EKGs. Willingness to work night shifts in a hospital setting.
