CNC Machine Operator

Job Summary: Sets up and operates CNC controlled machines that cut machine cabinet components and accessories.Duties and Responsibilities:Safely operate assigned equipment to produce cabinet parts.Proficiently use a tape measure, calipers, and designated measuring devices to determine sizes for parts.Supply the sufficient number of parts in the buffers established by the schedule.Inspect component parts prior to working on them again after they have been machined for correct specifications.Comply with the company’s rules and guidelines for safety and health.Maintain no more than a 1% reject rate per workday.All other duties and responsibilities assigned by team leader and supervisorAssigned equipment may include, but not limited to:RoutersEvolution JetsMaster ProsQualifications:Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.Must possess reading skills to read parts, lists, and other material required for job completion.Must be able to identify wood and plywood types and sizes of materials.Must have mathematical skills to take measurements and determine correct sizes for cabinet parts.Proficient computer skills to download programs and adjust for tooling compensationCNC wood / metal fabrication experience preferredEssential Functions of the Job:Stand and walk up to twelve hours per day on concrete surfaces while loading and stacking cabinets in the factory.Physically carry and transport items for long distances up to twelve hours a day.Must be able to lift, carry, and transport material which range in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below for up to twelve hours a day.Frequently bend, stoop, reach grasps, twist, push, and pull items which range in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below for up to twelve hours a day.Must be able to communicate effectively with management and coworkers by phone or in-person.Must be mentally altered and capable of remembering oral instructions and routine tasks.Must be able to withstand fluctuations in temperature and environmental fluctuations.Must be able to work the required daily and weekly work hours as determined by the schedule.Good attendance and punctuality are necessary.Must exemplify through appearance and behavior the company’s image of excellence.Must be alert and able to identify and respond to a hazard by either reporting it immediately, or by taking corrective measures if directed.II.
