Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical

Schedule

36 hours per week plus 2 on-call shifts in 4 weeks; day/night variable shifts required.

Assignment Details

Extended contracts through holidays required.

Requirements

• NYS RN Licensure
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification (AHA only)
• NIHSS certification
• 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Deliver high-quality and compassionate nursing care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients with medical conditions.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding self-care and health management post-discharge.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans based on responses to treatment.
• Maintain a safe and trusting environment for patients and families.
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions in accordance with patient needs.
