Job Title Dual posting for Nurse Practitioner‑Specialty Care (NPSC) or Physician Assistant‑Specialty Care (PASC) at the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Environmental Medicine, University of Missouri. Overview The University of Missouri’s Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Environmental Medicine seeks a full‑time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to support expanding inpatient pulmonary and critical care services. The APP will provide comprehensive clinical care across weekdays, weekends, and nights, collaborating closely with physicians, fellows, residents, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members. Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic pulmonary and critical care conditions. Conduct comprehensive evaluations with appropriate documentation. Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies; prescribe medications and blood products within established protocols. Document care through admission, daily progress, procedure, and discharge notes. Communicate patient status and care plans to the healthcare team in a timely manner. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and care plans. Provide preventive health guidance and support post‑discharge planning. Participate in quality improvement initiatives. Identify patient care trends and collaborate with physician leadership on programmatic and outcomes data. Qualifications Physician Assistant (PA) licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts. Schedule 7 days on / 7 days off model, with approximately 26 weeks of inpatient service annually and an average of 80 hours per two‑week period. Flexibility in scheduling will be individualized at hire. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $109,000 – $150,000 annually.
