Front Desk Receptionist

Bay State Physical Therapy, a leading provider of outpatient physical therapy in the Northeast, is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. Full time - 40 hours per week. In this role, you will be the front office point person, handling scheduling and day-to-day workflow. You will oversee the check-in/out process, ensuring it's fast, friendly, and accurate, and you will act as the go-to for insurance verifications, authorizations, and co-pay collections. You'll be the engine that keeps our clinic running smoothly and ensures every patient feels seen and heard. Experience in a medical front office role preferred. At the Norwood clinic, we have a tight knit staff who work together as a cohesive unit to support our patients and each other. Our clinic houses great equipment and a water treadmill that we use 3-5x per week, which is a big selling point for patients! The clinic is located right off of Route 1 in Norwood, MA, in the plaza with Norwood Orthopedic Associates, FedEx, and Siam Lotus Restaurant.

What You'll Do

• Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service
• Answer phones and assist with scheduling appointments
• Verify insurance benefits and explain patient financial responsibilities
• Manage patient intake forms and maintain accurate records
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and insurance approvals
• Support clinic operations and maintain efficient schedules
• Assist with billing, payments, and administrative tasks

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or front desk role required
• Knowledge of insurance verification and patient financial responsibilities preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
