Full-time

Seattle Children's

The Project Manager III provides strategic leadership for multifaceted, cross-functional, high-impact projects that advance organizational priorities. This role leads matrixed project teams, mobilizes stakeholders in support of continuous improvement initiatives, and advises leaders on project direction, risks, and investment decisions.

The Project Manager III exercises wide latitude for independent judgment and decision-making and plays a key role in shaping project impact and value realization across the organization.

SERIES CONCEPT: A project is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service or result. A project is temporary in that it has a defined beginning and end in time, and therefore defined scope and resources. And a project is unique in that it is not a routine operation, but a specific set of operations designed to accomplish a singular goal. So, a project team often includes people who don't usually work together – sometimes from different functional areas and across multiple geographies. Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in business, healthcare or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience gained through project coordination, operations, or administrative roles that demonstrate readiness for project management work. Minimum of seven (7) years related experience to include at least five (5) years managing multifaceted projects. Demonstrated experience leading large-scale, multifaceted, or enterprise-impacting projects from initiation through close, managing significant operational, financial, and organizational impacts. Proven ability to manage project scope, schedules, resources, risks, and budgets for multiple projects simultaneously while navigating competing and moving priorities. Proven success managing consultants and purchased services to ensure project delivery. Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring project teams, project coordinators, and junior project managers.

Required Credentials
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred
Demonstrated use of formal project management methodologies, governance frameworks, or portfolio management practices. Experience building and managing vendor relations. Master's degree in health administration, business, or related field or Master's Certificate in Project Management Experience identifying opportunities and leading continuous improvement or quality improvement practices within projects. Experience contributing to strategic planning, investment decisions, or enterprise initiatives. Experience contributing to strategic planning, investment decisions, or enterprise initiatives.
