This position involves working closely with providers to perform patient care duties within the scope of medical assistant practice, facilitating clinic operations, and enhancing patient satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks as directed by providers, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations.
• Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring all necessary supplies are assembled and consents obtained.
• Administer immunizations under provider supervision, adhering to state regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with referral coordinators to ensure timely processing.
• Manage exam room supplies, perform daily room checks, and maintain cleanliness in collaboration with environmental services.
• Demonstrate excellent infection control practices and participate in special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current state medical assistant certification and licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques.
• Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with good judgment.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with providers, healthcare professionals, and patients.

Work Schedule

Full-time position with 4-10 hour shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.
