Job Summary

The Main Shop Technician is a vital member of our automotive service team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure their safe and efficient operation. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose vehicle issues accurately and efficiently using diagnostic tools and equipment.

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.

Repair or replace faulty parts, components, or systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.

Perform complex automotive repairs and adjustments, including engine overhauls, transmission rebuilds, and differential repairs.

Follow manufacturer guidelines and specifications for repair and maintenance procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.

Keep up-to-date with advancements in automotive technology and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.

Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and provide assistance when needed.

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.

Document all work performed accurately and thoroughly in service records.

Previous brand experience preferred, but not required.

All applicants must be 18 years or older.

Proven experience as an automotive technician, with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.

Certification from a recognized automotive training program or technical school preferred, but not required.

Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and diagnostic tools.

Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions for extended periods.

Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
