Attorney - Tribal Law

Job Overview A law firm seeks a mission-driven Attorney to join their team in Omaha, NE. This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys supporting tribal nations and organizations across a wide range of legal needs. Duties Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on tribal governance and program issues. Draft, review, and revise contracts, policies, ordinances, and resolutions. Analyze correspondence and agreements to identify issues and recommend actions. Provide legal advice to tribal governments, departments, and enterprises. Participate in client meetings and project planning sessions. Assist with preparation for tribal court or administrative proceedings. Travel to client sites for meetings and project work as needed. Requirements Licensed attorney in good standing. 3+ years of experience as a practicing attorney. Experience with tribal governments and/or federal Indian law or tribal law. Strong legal research and writing skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills and client interaction comfort. Willingness to travel to client locations. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Bar admission in good standing. Skills Detail-oriented and efficient in time management.
