The Surgical Team is hiring a Surgical Physician Assistant. Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm; 7:00pm-7:00am; 7:00am-7:00pm Salary: $125,000 - $155,015 / year

Responsibilities: The Surgical Physician Assistant assesses patients; obtains comprehensive history and physical exams; performs hospital rounds and write notes; order and perform routine diagnostic procedures; order and interpret routine laboratory values, develop and implement treatment plans; monitor therapeutic interventions; provides instruction and counseling to meet the patient and floor staff needs as well as institute and change orders as directed by the supervising physician. This candidate will participate in the surgical night/weekend call schedule.

Job requirements: Currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in New York State. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at the time of hire or within two weeks after hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required at the time of hire or within three months after hire. AHA Stroke Certification part A required within one month of employment; part B required within six months of hire date.
