Job Description
MRI Technologist We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology and have certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a preferred qualification. Job Summary The MRI Technologist will operate the MRI machine effectively, ensure patient comfort during scanning procedures, and collaborate with physicians to facilitate timely results. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods are essential for this role. Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment.
- Coordinate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare patients for scans and clearly explain procedures to enhance comfort.
- Insert IVs as necessary for tests.
- Document all procedures while upholding patient confidentiality.
- Perform patient care tasks as needed.
- Two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association only).
- Experience with GE scanners is required.
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience is preferred.
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
- Injection certification is mandatory.
- New York State Radiologic Technology license is required and must be obtained after starting the position.
