Overview State of New Hampshire – Judicial Branch, 9th Circuit Court (Nashua, NH). Full‑time Court Operations Specialist (Labor Grade: 14, 9‑step pay scale). Salary ranges from $36,309.00 to $43,758.00 for steps 1‑5 depending on education and experience. Position # CT1000003333 – ASAP # 3333/26‑114. This general clerical role supports the New Hampshire Court System. Duties include performing varied clerical functions with independent judgment, applying routine policies, and interpreting limited procedures. The position often requires specialized knowledge of court processes and carries greater consequence of error when work is inaccurate. Employees may be required to travel, and are subject to transfer or reassignment at the discretion of the Administrative Judge. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school and two years of court clerical experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of court procedures and policies, legal documents, statutes, and rules pertaining to the court. Knowledge of the organization, operations, functions, and scope of authority of the court or activity to which assigned. Knowledge of effective and efficient office practices and procedures. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to make work decisions in accordance with laws, regulations, and policies and procedures. Ability to maintain a variety of records and prepare reports from such records. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Skill in the operation of a computer and other standard office equipment. Other Requirements Successful completion of a background check, including a criminal records check. Responsibilities Open, date‑stamp, sort, and distribute mail. Check and review incoming and outgoing documents for completeness and accuracy; assign general case category; and process documents as required in accordance with court rules. Assign docket numbers and record information as required in the appropriate files. File court records using chronological, alphabetical, and numerical filing systems. Type notices, orders and decrees, correspondence, hearing and trial lists. Answer telephone calls and prepare copies. Prepare summonses, notices, warrants, subpoenas, and similar processes; compute applicable dates for service and return of service, affix court seal, and prepare copies of documents. Operate electronic recording machine to record court proceedings. Receive and record court revenue and may maintain and prepare other financial records and reports as required.
