ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Leadership & Team Management

● Lead and manage the sales team, setting goals, assigning territories/accounts, and monitoring performance and pipeline activity.

● Coach and develop team members, provide ongoing feedback, and assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training as needed.

● Address performance issues in coordination with HR/leadership, and collaborate on compensation, incentives, and territory decisions.

● Ensure the team maintains accurate CRM records and promotes a professional, customer-focused sales culture.

Business Development & Account Management

● Develop and maintain relationships with dealers, distributors, retailers, and business customers through regular outreach.

● Identify and pursue new business opportunities and dealer accounts; conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations.

● Serve as primary point of contact for assigned accounts, resolving customer issues and coordinating with internal teams as needed.

● Maintain an active sales pipeline and monitor market and competitive activity to grow existing accounts and secure new ones.

● Travel to visit dealers, customers, trade shows, and industry events as required.

● Contribute to the development of sales strategy, priorities, and growth initiatives.

Sales Operations & Reporting

● Process sales orders accurately, verifying pricing, quantities, and delivery requirements; prepare quotations and invoices.

● Coordinate with warehouse, finance, and operations to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer service.

● Track sales performance by customer, dealer, territory, and product; prepare reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management.

Analyze sales trends to identify growth opportunities and areas requiring attention.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● 5+ years of progressive sales, account management, business development, or related experience, preferably in optics, firearms, sporting goods, outdoor products, consumer products, distribution, or a related industry.

● Demonstrated experience developing dealer, distributor, retail, or B2B customer relationships.

● Experience with outside sales, territory management, or field sales strongly preferred.

● Proven ability to identify sales opportunities and convert prospects into customers.

● Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

● Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with CRM, ERP, or order management systems preferred.

● Ability to analyze sales data and prepare reports and forecasts.

● Ability and willingness to travel for customer visits, dealer meetings, and trade shows.

● Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
