Our company, a leading player in the energy industry, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional who is not only proficient in accounting but also has a solid understanding of the energy industry, specifically in manufacturing and oil and gas accounting. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations within the company and ensuring the financial health and transparency of our organization. Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Preparing and analyzing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
2. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations and filings.
3. Managing the company's general ledger and overseeing the month-end and year-end closing processes.
4. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
5. Serving as a point of contact for auditors and managing internal and external audit processes.
6. Implementing and monitoring internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal regulatory and company policies and procedures.
7. Providing leadership and support to junior staff.
8. Participating in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
9. Keeping up to date with industry trends and developments in order to optimize accounting processes and achieve financial objectives.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Senior Accountant position should have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing accounting and oil and gas accounting.
3. Advanced knowledge of accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other financial management tools.
4. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multitask, and excellent organizational skills.
6. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial employees.
7. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
8. A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles, working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
9. Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude.
