Senior AccountantOur client is a growing and dynamic organization in the Columbus market seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, contribute to key financial initiatives, and play an important role in supporting the company's continued growth.The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing complex accounting activities, supporting the month-end close process, preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. This individual will serve as a key contributor within the accounting function and partner with cross-functional teams to support strategic business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activitiesPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesAnalyze financial results and provide insights into variances and trendsAssist with the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packagesMaintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial recordsSupport external audits and provide requested documentationAssist with technical accounting research and implementation of accounting standardsIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen controlsCollaborate with operational and finance teams on special projects and business initiativesMentor and support junior accounting staff as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance4+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principlesExperience with month-end close and account reconciliation processesAdvanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systemsCPA designation or CPA-track preferredExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departmentsHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracyWhy Consider This Opportunity?Competitive compensation package (70-90k Base)Hybrid work environmentHigh visibility with leadershipStrong career growth potentialCollaborative and team-oriented cultureOpportunity to make a meaningful impact within a growing organization LHH
