Principal Associate, Recruiter The Design Organization at Capital One is at the forefront of enriching our customers’ digital and physical experiences. Our Design Talent Acquisition team is responsible for attracting, sourcing, and retaining great Design talent that helps to change banking for good. Roles and Responsibilities Manage full lifecycle recruiting, including creating position descriptions, sourcing candidates, screening candidates, advising hiring managers on hire decisions, and negotiating offers. Source stellar candidates with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Look beyond direct applications and leverage search engines, career sites, events, and open source tech sites to find the best talent. Advise leadership on market trends and better ways to find and retain great talent. Assess difficulty of position to fill and set the candidate pipeline strategy (e.g., marketing, LinkedIn sourcing, referrals). Engage with hiring managers on progress and determine whether a strategy shift is needed to secure the right talent. Facilitate interview feedback and aid in candidate selection. Make offers and close identified candidates. Be a self-starter that leads change and works on ad‑hoc projects beyond the core role. Transition post‑offer administrative work to the Hiring Logistics Team. Basic Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or client consulting. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree and Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification. Preferred Qualifications 4+ years of experience in corporate recruiting – full lifecycle, research, and sourcing. 2+ years of experience consulting with multiple hiring managers and building strong relationships with them and their teams. Ability to influence and drive results in a fast-paced environment. Ability to use innovative techniques to recruit diverse talent. The minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. This salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. McLean, VA: $120,800 - $137,900 (Principal Recruiter) Richmond, VA: $109,900 - $125,400 (Principal Recruiter) This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
