What You’ll Do Assist the Maintenance Manager with mentoring, training, coaching, and supervising; complete daily activities of the service team to uphold all goals, policies, and values. Abide by the on‑call schedule, responding to emergencies after hours. Recommend and assist the Maintenance Manager with the budget to ensure the community has sufficient inventory to complete repairs promptly and ensure capital projects are on budget. Organize and complete daily tasks including curb appeal, move‑out inspections, turns, service requests, and capex projects. Build and manage working relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure work performed is of the highest quality and meets or exceeds company and government standards. Assist and recommend to the Maintenance Manager the completion of all scheduled community and preventative maintenance inspections. Notify the Maintenance Manager of any schedule changes, delays, or complications that may affect completion of work. Communicate with the Maintenance Manager and office team daily to stay apprised of changes or address concerns. Deliver a high level of customer service that upholds company goals, policies, and standards. Assist the Maintenance Manager in maintaining team members’ required company, local, state, and federal training and certifications, scheduling in‑person and virtual sessions as needed. Ensure the community is clean, safe, and neat for residents and team members at all times. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience as an Apartment Maintenance Technician or related field, or trade school certification in HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, or related field and 3 years of associated experience. EPA 608 Type I & II certification. CPO certification. CAMT designation. Demonstrated knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, landscape, painting, carpentry, and swimming pools. Demonstrated ability to use a smart device and a computer. Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines. Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team productively. Demonstrated ability to work outside for long periods in various weather conditions. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. The hiring range for Assistant Apartment Maintenance Manager is $26.58–$33.23/hr based on experience and certifications. Overtime and bonus pay are also available. This position is eligible for HHHunt’s benefits, including health insurance, vacation, sick leave, and 401(k). HHHunt offers a 25% taxable rental discount if you lease an HHHunt apartment.
