POSITION: Basketball Assistant Coach – Boy's Team – North Lincoln Middle School POSITION AVAILABLE: Immediately for the 2026-2027 Winter Basketball Season REPORTS TO: Principal, Athletic Director SALARY: Coaching stipend based on coaching experience with NCHSAA Qualifications/Requirements At least 21 years old High School Diploma or GED required Coaching experience preferred Must complete required NFHS coaching courses before approval to work with student athletes CPR certification required for paid coaches (may be completed through the school system) HR onboarding, drug test, background check, current health physical, and TB test required before approval Duties and Responsibilities Assist in planning, developing, and implementing instructional programs in the sport as assigned by the coach Assist in administering the sport program Assist in fostering a climate conducive to learning as assigned by the coach Assist in establishing and implementing improvement processes for the sport as assigned by the coach Assist in establishing good public and employee relations for the sport as assigned by the coach Maintain professional work habits Maintain and upgrade professional skills to improve instruction for students Communicate with parents and the educational community (professional and interpersonal relations) Implement fundamental sports skills and sports management systems (coaching and related areas) Cooperate with the school principal and head coach; develop rapport with coaching staff, school community, participants, student body, faculty, parents, opponents, and community; employ appropriate conduct during games and practices; participate in activities that foster professional growth and development; command respect by example in appearance, manners, behavior, and language Other duties as assigned Coaching Courses Required Fundamentals of Coaching (8+ hours) – High School Coaches Concussion Training (45 minutes) – All Coaches CPR Certificate Required Job Details Starting Date: To Be Determined #J-18808-Ljbffr Young World Physical Education
