Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified and experienced cardiothoracic surgeon to become part of our collaborative team at a leading hospital in Muncie, Indiana. Position Overview

• Full-time commitment (1.0 FTE); weekdays with on-call responsibilities
• Clinical focus includes inpatient care, operating room duties, and outpatient clinic work
• Patient load: 10–20 patients per week in both clinic and hospital settings (subject to variation)

Practice Environment

Join an established cardiovascular surgery team that includes:

• Three cardiothoracic surgeons
• Three skilled advanced practice providers who assist with weekend rounds and on-call duties
• Dedicated support personnel
• Shared on-call responsibilities
• A collegial and team-focused atmosphere with strong physician leadership
• Close collaboration with cardiology, anesthesiology, and critical care teams
• Opportunities for teaching residents and involvement in a full research department; potential for academic affiliation with a prominent medical school
• No local competition

Clinical Responsibilities
This role encompasses a diverse and complex range of cases with consistent procedural demand, including:

• Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
• Valve repair and replacement
• Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
• Robotic thoracic surgery
• Lung resections, including wedge resections

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Completion of a Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship
• Preference for experienced surgeons
• Proven dedication to high-quality outcomes and patient-centered care
• Interest in mentoring and long-term development within the practice
