Drama Director (Louisville)

The KCD Upper School is looking for a director for our fall performance, specifically a Black Box theater production of Almost, Maine with a cast of between 12-15 high school members. The performance dates are November 6, 7, 8. Auditions would take place the week of August 24-28. The ideal candidate would be eager to guide students through all stages of the theatrical process, including script analysis, auditioning, rehearsal, performance, and reflection. They will collaborate with our technical director on design, stage management, and technical theater opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Theater, Theater Education, Performing Arts, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. Experience working with high school-aged students, strong knowledge of theatrical production, the collaborative nature of theater, and excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
