Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking obstetrics and gynecology physicians for an ongoing locum tenens role supporting a hospital-based labor and delivery unit in Paducah, Kentucky. This position involves inpatient obstetric care with on-call coverage, including deliveries and complex obstetric procedures, within a Level II nursery environment supported by onsite labs and ultrasound.

Opportunity Highlights

• Location: Paducah, Kentucky
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
• Setting: Hospital-based labor and delivery unit
• Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM, seven days per week
• Delivery volume: 700–800 per year
• Triage visits: 140–190 per month
• Support: Onsite labs, ultrasound, and Level II nursery

Clinical Scope

• Routine vaginal deliveries
• Low-forceps deliveries
• Decision-making for cesarean sections
• Complicated deliveries (e.g., breech, multiple births, abruptions)
• Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBACs)
• Repair of third and fourth degree lacerations
• Inpatient obstetric procedures

Requirements

• Active Kentucky medical license
• DEA registration
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Clinical certifications as required
• Experience with inpatient obstetric procedures and complex deliveries preferred
