Mechanical Project Manager

Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Mechanical Project Manager in Sacramento, CA to deliver commercial HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects on time and within budget for high-profile facilities.

Impact
- Successfully deliver small to medium commercial mechanical projects across hospitals, schools, airports, high-rises, and hotels
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and project transparency
- Drive profitability through effective scheduling, change order management, and cost control

Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of commercial HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects from award through closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules using construction management software
- Prepare and submit RFIs, submittals, and change orders in a timely manner
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors to ensure smooth project execution
- Track project budgets and forecast costs to maintain profitability
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality
- Lead project meetings and communicate status updates to stakeholders
- Review contract documents and identify scope gaps or potential issues
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes

Requirements
Must-Haves
- 5+ years of experience managing commercial mechanical projects (HVAC, plumbing, piping)
- Proven track record with hospitals, schools, airports, high-rises, or hotel projects
- Strong skills in scheduling, RFI management, and change order processing
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling software
- Stable work history demonstrating commitment and reliability
- Local to the Sacramento, CA area

Nice-to-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering
- Prior field experience in pipe fitting or sheet metal
- Experience with design-build project delivery
- OSHA 30 certification
