Additional responsibilities include oversight of daily scheduling, cash controls, opening and closing, and managing direct reports and all other staff as required. Cross‑functional with timely and hospitable communications with all other staff members in both the back of the house and front of the house. Reports to General Manager; works a minimum of 45‑55 hours per week – 5 days per week. Duties Accomplish tasks as needed. Maintain the cleanliness of the operation and all staff in all areas; uphold cleaning standards, daily side work, cleaning, and other maintenance schedules/lists. Ensure daily and monthly cleaning cycles are managed by all managers and support staff. Monitor staff appearance including personal appearance (uniforms, facial hair, makeup). Ensure compliance with Health Department, Fire Department, and safety standards. Demonstrate food knowledge, overall menu knowledge, and beverage knowledge; support staff accordingly. Apply logistics and operations knowledge of staff related to systems and timing. Provide a clear vision of the company mission to the restaurant and team members, ensuring clear task execution. Provide leadership, support, direction and training to key managers or team leaders. Lead by example on the floor, visible during peak service times and pre‑shift meetings. Ensure effective cooperation between front‑of‑house (FOH) and back‑of‑house (BOH). Service and guest satisfaction: review guest feedback, interact with guests daily, and follow up on all guest comments through internal comment cards and social media feedback forums. Coordinate with Human Resources for hiring, training, scheduling, discipline, and terminating staff as needed. Conduct staff evaluations for all BOH and FOH processes in collaboration with the General Manager. Support the management of HR and personnel matters per corporate policies. Assist the GM in organizing in‑house management meetings; identify issues and establish measurable systems for goals. Address weekly matters: cleaning progress, product and service quality, customer satisfaction, teamwork, events/promotions, hiring/training. Present monthly action plans to the General Manager as needed. Participate in weekly company meetings; prepare reviews of prior week’s goals, current and planned goals, HR issues, customer issues, marketing, FOH–BOH coordination, and other management concerns. Provide immediate input to the Management or Ownership team regarding any business matter that endangers or threatens operations reputation‑wise, physically, or financially. Finance: ensure all accounting, financial, and reporting functions are current, accurate, and approved; support budgets; monitor and control departmental expenditures. Leadership: provide top leadership for all business operations including restaurant operations, marketing, sanitation, training, HR, and personnel development; communicate with individual management and leadership team daily; fill in temporarily on active shifts when the restaurant is missing key management. Any other duties as requested by the General Manager or Ownership team. Minimum Requirements Prior restaurant management experience in 1–3 years preferred. Work on their feet, 8–10 hours standing, in good physical condition. Must pass drug and alcohol screening, background check, reference review, and credit review prior to a job offer. Education: degree preferable and/or food service and hospitality industry certifications. Proficiency with Office 365, including Excel, Office, and PowerPoint.
