About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Executive Leadership Team. The CFO will be a key partner in shaping and executing a forward-looking financial strategy that supports the organization's long-term sustainability and mission. This role is pivotal as the company undergoes a significant transformation, guided by a bold, long-term vision that integrates financial stewardship with exceptional animal care, innovative guest experiences, and environmental sustainability. The successful candidate will oversee all financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, budgeting, procurement, and compliance. They will also be responsible for introducing multi-year financial planning, strengthening capital and cash flow management, and enhancing data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal CFO for the company will be a strategic and hands-on financial leader with a proven track record in leading through complexity and developing high-performing teams. Experience in financing capital projects and working in partnership with executive leadership and governing boards is essential. The role requires a leader who can balance analytical depth, operational acumen, and collaborative leadership, and who is adept at building relationships and communicating complex financial concepts clearly. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a preference for an MBA, CPA, or other advanced credential, and significant senior leadership experience in finance, particularly within a complex nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
