Travel RN - Operating RoomAmerican TravelerWestwood, New Jersey, United StatesAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1$2,425.04/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong orthopedic circulating experience for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring 1 year of OR experience and Epic charting exposure.DetailsOperating Room unit within a hospital settingDay shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PMCirculates cases in orthopedics, spine, robotics, and general surgeryExposure to a wide range of surgical specialties including thoracic, urology, gynecology, ENT, plastics, podiatry, bariatrics, and robotics proceduresUses advanced equipment such as cell saver, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Hana TableRobotic surgery systems used include Da Vinci Xi, Da Vinci SP, and Mako Surgical SystemEpic charting system usedRequirementsActive RN license (NJ State or Compact) required in hand at time of considerationBLS and ACLS certifications requiredMinimum 1 year of Operating Room RN experience requiredStrong orthopedic surgical experience requiredEpic charting experience requiredExperience circulating a broad range of surgical procedures including orthopedic, spine, general, and robotic-assisted casesAdditional InformationResponsibilities include circulating in multiple surgical specialties with a strong emphasis on orthopedic and spine casesFamiliarity with emergency management protocols including fire safety, code response, latex allergy, and malignant hyperthermia responseKnowledge of infection control, specimen handling, universal protocol time-out procedures, and wound management expectedFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyCandidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not acceptedPrevious staff must wait 1 year before returning as a travelerAll requested time off must be submitted for consideration at time of application
