Our organization’s Department of Behavioral Health is on the lookout for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Psychiatrist to join the team at Mather Hospital in an adult outpatient role. The perfect candidate will be dedicated to evidence-based practices, possess a vibrant and innovative spirit, and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Mather Hospital is a recognized 248-bed, non-profit community teaching facility. It stands out as one of the few hospitals on Long Island that provides both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for adolescents and adults. Notably, it is the sole acute care hospital in Suffolk County with an adolescent psychiatric unit and a partial hospitalization program for adolescents. Our commitment lies in delivering top-notch clinical care, educating both current and future healthcare professionals, promoting health literacy, and serving the community without regard to financial capability. The Inpatient Adult Psychiatric Services offer a dedicated acute care setting for diagnosing and treating mental health issues in adult and geriatric populations.
The Outpatient Psychiatric Physician Services at Mather deliver personalized and expert psychiatric care designed to meet individual needs. Our team is composed solely of psychiatrists who provide both in-person and telehealth consultations, enhancing accessibility for patients. The department excels in offering comprehensive mental health services, including medication management and therapy, as well as administering long-acting injectable medications when necessary. Commonly addressed conditions encompass depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Additionally, we are equipped to assist women facing mental health challenges during pregnancy, the postpartum phase, and those dealing with issues related to infertility or loss. Our outpatient psychiatry services include specialized perinatal psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and general adult psychiatric care.
