Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work while still being an integral part of our outpatient office team. Our counselors typically operate from a home setting, but you will remain closely connected with your colleagues through regular virtual meetings and consultations. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify patients' psychiatric needs and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Deliver evidence-based interventions to individuals, couples, and families using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups that focus on common mental health issues, creating a sense of community among participants.

• Collaborate actively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and allied health professionals to provide holistic and coordinated care to patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice serves a diverse population of adult clients, including those dealing with chronic mental health disorders, individuals in transitional phases of life, and those struggling with addiction. Understanding the unique experiences of each individual is crucial, as many of our clients come from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Prior experience working with such diverse groups is an asset.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and familiarity with a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic approaches.

• Ability to perform comprehensive mental health assessments and design effective individualized treatment plans.

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions to a wide range of clients.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for maintaining patient documentation and treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits\n
