Mental Health Clinician II University Correctional Health Care (UCHC), operating within Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is dedicated to excellence in providing physical, mental health, dental and sex offender treatment services to those involved in the criminal and juvenile justice systems. Responsibilities Complete specialized psychological testing and assessment of clinical needs for adult inmates sentenced to the Department of Corrections. Provide group, individual, and family therapies. Develop treatment plans and make clinically based decisions regarding appropriateness for treatment and preferred modality. Assess and refer for higher levels of care as appropriate, recognizing the unique needs of adult inmates, seniors, and family members. Qualifications Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Clinical‑Counseling Psychology, or Forensic Psychology. Training in psychological testing and measurement. Minimum of 2 years of post‑master’s experience (Doctorate may substitute). Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for travel between sites. Licensure in a mental health field (e.g., LAC, LPC, LCADC) is preferred but not required.
