Harmony Clinical Research Company: Harmony Clinical Research Employment Type: Part-Time, Contract, or Flexible Schedule Location: South Florida Harmony Clinical Research is seeking an experienced and motivated MD or DO to serve as a Principal Investigator for clinical research studies at our established research site. Harmony Clinical Research has been conducting Phase II–IV clinical trials since 2010 and works with pharmaceutical sponsors and CROs across a variety of therapeutic areas. We are looking for a physician who is interested in expanding into clinical research or adding research responsibilities alongside an existing clinical practice. The Principal Investigator will provide medical oversight for assigned clinical trials and work closely with Harmony’s experienced research team, which manages the day-to-day operational, regulatory, scheduling, and sponsor-facing components of each study. Key Responsibilities The Principal Investigator will: Provide medical oversight for assigned clinical trials Ensure studies are conducted in accordance with the protocol, Good Clinical Practice, FDA regulations, IRB requirements, and applicable regulatory standards Evaluate potential study participants and determine eligibility Perform protocol-required medical assessments and examinations Review laboratory results, ECGs, medical histories, adverse events, concomitant medications, and other clinical information Assess and document adverse events and serious adverse events Make medical decisions related to participant safety Review and sign study documentation as required Maintain appropriate oversight of delegated study responsibilities Participate in sponsor and CRO meetings, including Site Qualification Visits, Site Initiation Visits, monitoring visits, and investigator meetings when required Work collaboratively with clinical research coordinators and site leadership Maintain timely completion of study-related documentation Support patient recruitment and retention when appropriate Communicate with sponsors, CROs, monitors, and the Harmony research team regarding study-related medical matters Qualifications Required: MD or DO degree Active and unrestricted medical license Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to provide appropriate medical oversight of research participants Ability to work collaboratively with research coordinators, sponsors, CROs, and other healthcare professionals Commitment to patient safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality clinical research Preferred: Previous experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator Clinical research or pharmaceutical study experience Current GCP and Human Subjects Protection training Board certification or board eligibility Established patient population or referral network Previous Principal Investigator experience is preferred but is not required for the right physician . Harmony Clinical Research can provide onboarding and support for physicians who are new to clinical research. Support includes: Experienced clinical research coordinators Regulatory and startup support Sponsor and CRO communication Patient recruitment support Study scheduling and visit coordination Clinical trial documentation support Regulatory binder and study file management Monitoring visit coordination Training and onboarding for physicians new to clinical research Ongoing study management throughout the lifecycle of each trial Schedule and Compensation This position offers a flexible schedule based on study activity and patient enrollment and may be structured around an existing private practice or other clinical responsibilities. Compensation is competitive and will depend on experience, specialty, study participation, and the scope of Principal Investigator responsibilities.
