Overview
Registered Nurse – ICU, Springfield, MA. This is a travel, temporary assignment starting September 7, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,445 to $2,593 per week, with 36 guaranteed hours. Shift: 12-hour nights. The role is based in a hospital setting on a 42-bed unit focused on medical-telemetry and intermediate care, with RN duties that may include floating to related units as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to ICU/IMC patients, assess and respond to clinical changes, and coordinate care with the health care team.
- Manage respiratory support equipment as indicated (ventilators, tracheostomy care, high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP) and monitor cardiac status with telemetry.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitor outcomes, and document in the electronic health record.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs and lab results; recognize and respond to deterioration or emergencies; participate in rapid response as needed.
- Facilitate patient and family education, discharge planning, and safe patient handoffs; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Float to med-telemetry and IMC units as needed; adhere to infection control practices and unit-specific protocols.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS current and active
- Experience: 1–2 years of ICU/IMC nursing experience preferred
- Education: RN required (program completion from an approved nursing school)
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and to float to other units within the unit’s scope
- Must be outside a 90-mile radius from the assignment facility
- Licenses/Documentation: Massachusetts Placement Agency License and Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License required; agency onboarding may include signing the AMN agreement and uploading insurance (MYCOI) and copies of Massachusetts licenses
