Associate - Global Transaction Analytics Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global consulting firm that provides advisory services across a range of industries. The Team TAG is a subsidiary of A&M that specializes in financial and accounting due diligence, capital markets and accounting advisory, global transaction analytics, environmental, technical & sustainability (ETS) and other related M&A services. Global Transaction Analytics (GTA) A&M’s GTA practice provides data analytics services to uncover actionable insights supporting M&A, divestment and investment strategy. The GTA team operates across the transaction lifecycle from pre-deal to post-deal analysis, using advanced analytics and market-leading technology. How You Will Contribute As an associate in GTA you will work on diverse projects across industries, including manufacturing, distribution, consumer, retail, healthcare, software & technology, energy and financial services. You will add value through data-enabled business, financial and operational transparency in both pre-acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition performance improvement. Responsibilities will include: Assist with multiple client engagements. Extract insights from data sets and trends using various tools and techniques. Facilitate day‑to‑day client interactions and relationships. Collaborate across stakeholders. Counsel and mentor junior team members and develop the team's technical capabilities. Qualifications Minimum of 2+ years of experience in data analytics or transaction services. Buy‑side/vendor due diligence experience across industries preferred. Understanding of M&A/PE investment lifecycle preferred. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Statistics, Information Systems or a related field. Understanding of data extraction, manipulation, analytics and visualization approaches. Strong technical background with hands‑on data analytics experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, relational databases/SQL querying, Alteryx, business intelligence/visualization (Tableau preferred), big data and machine learning concepts. Ability to leverage business intelligence software. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear yet concise manner. Exceptional project management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Flexibility to work both as a team member in a collaborative setting and as an individual contributor. Ability to thrive in fast‑paced settings. Benefits & Compensation The base salary is $100,000 annually, dependent on several variables including education, experience, skills and geography. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life and disability coverages and a 401(k) retirement savings plan, with an annual discretionary contribution. Additional benefits include paid time off: vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time (prorated for part‑time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday and parental leave.
